Caspar und Grawe haben sich in einem Artikel in dieser Zeitschrift gegen Standardisierung und für eine «Neukonstruktion» von Psycho therapie in jedem Einzelfall ausgesprochen. Standardisierung und «Neukonstruktion» sind jedoch kein Gegensatz. Standardisierung erfolgt bereits durch therapeutische Regeln, die von den Therapieschulen angegeben werden und sowohl die Diagnostik als auch die Therapiedurchführung steuern. Die Anwendung einer Regel – sowohl von Methodenregeln als auch von «Beziehungsregeln» – erfordert notwendigerweise Anpassungen an den jeweiligen Einzelfall. Standardisierung erfolgt auf der Ebene der Planung, «Neukonstruktion» vor allem auf der Ebene der Realisierung von Therapie.
