1. Es wird ein Präparat beschrieben, an dem sich nach Querschnittslähmungen reproduzierbare Veränderungen an der Harnblase der Ratte nachweisen lassen. 2. Die nach Querschnittslähmung rasch einsetzende Druckerhöhung in der Blase führt zu einer Dilatation der Harnblase mit Blutungen und Nekrosen in der Wand. 3. Als Folge der Druckerhöhung tritt bereits nach 6–12 h eine Dilatation der Hamleiter und ein vesicoureteraler Reflux auf. 4. Zwischen Blasendruck und Tubulusdruck besteht eine lineare Korrelation im Bereich 0–50 mm Hg. 5. Die glomeruläre Filtration (GFR) wird mit zunehmendem Blasendruck geringer. Diese Beziehung ist im Bereich von 0–50 mm Hg linear. 6. Bei den nach Querschnittslähmung auftretenden Blasendrucken ist die glomeruläre Filtration um 40–60% verringert.
