Die Prostatachírurgie kann heute mit einem einzigen Standardverfahren nicht mehr auskommen. Die Kältechirurgie ist als Ergänzung der chirurgischen und transurethralen Prostatektomie ein neues Verfahren beim inoperablen Rísikopatienten, aber auch beim Prostata-Karzinom hat es bereits unbestritten seinen Wert bewiesen. Wir wenden die Kältechirurgie unter folgenden Gesichtspunkten an: 1. Palliatives Einfrieren von Adenom und Karzinom. 2. Totales Einfrieren. 3. Präoperatives Einfrieren vor transurethraler Prostatektomie grosser Geschwülste.
