Die Hämokompatibilität eines medizinischen Gerätes hängt von der chemischen Struktur des Polymers und der Art der Verarbeitung, die die chemischen und physi-kalischen Oberflächeneigenschaften bestimmen, und dem biologischen Einsatzort ab. Eine verläβliche Beziehung zwischen Polymerstruktur und Thrombogenität kann nur dann aufgestellt werden, wenn alle Proben nach dem gleichen Verfahren verarbeitet und im Kontakt mit humanem Vollblut unter verschiedenen Scher-bedingungen in vitro untersucht werden. Sämtliche Ergebnisse der als Granulat, Spritzguβplatte, extrudierter Schlauch oder aus Lösung gegossener Film untersuch-ten Materialien werden als Datenbank nach Abschluβ des Projektes im März 1996 verfügbar sein.
