Abstract
In der Arbeit wird der Versuch unternommen, anhand von Abbildun-gen und Tabellen das für die Intensivtherapie unbedingt erforderliche Wissen zum Säure-Basen-Haushalt in knapper Form darzustellen. Dabei wird vor allem auf die Auswirkungen von Störungen des Säure- Basen-Haushaltes auf die Organfunktionen eingegangen und damit gleichzeitig die Bedeutung einer situationsgerechten Therapie unter-strichen. In diesem Zusammenhang wird insbesondere auf den Platz der Infusionstherapie bei der Behandlung von Störungen des Säure- Basen-Haushaltes eingegangen.
