41 Patienten wurden im Anschluß an kieferchirurgische Eingriffe mit der Sondenfertignahrung Fresubin® flüssig über Magensonden ernährt. Wegen Unverträglichkeit mußte die Sondenernährung bei 12,5% der Patienten abgebrochen werden. Bezogen auf die durchgeführten Sondenernährungstage traten bei den übrigen Patienten Nebenwirkungen in folgender Häufigkeit auf: Durchfälle 0,9%, Sodbrennen 0,9%, Übelkeit 0,9%. Im Mittel betrug die Stuhlhäufigkeit mit Ausnahme der Patienten, die an Durchfällen litten, 0,7/24 Std. Unter der Applikation von täglich ca. 25 kcal/ kg/24 Std. ergab sich keine signifikante Abnahme des Körperge» wichtes. Die Serumelektrolyte Na, K und Ca blieben konstant. Auβer den operationsbedingten Abnahmen von Hämoglobin, Hämatokrit, Gesamteiweiβ im Serum und arteriellem Sauerstoffdruck sowie einem Anstieg der Serumtransaminasen fanden sich keinerlei nahrungsbedingte Auswirkungen auf die Patienten.
