Agents, Distributors and Booksellers

Journal subscriptions/collections run on a calendar-year basis.
Other online products and services: 12 months from date of access activation, unless specified otherwise (e.g. expiry of voucher, credit deposit).

Continuation orders for book series available.
First-time online orders are subject to an access period of max. of 5 years, unless another online purchase is made during this period.

Postage and handling is charged separately.

Book returns for credit are accepted within one year from date of invoice if our invoice numbers and dates are indicated and if the title is in mint condition.

Claiming of missing issues to be made immediately upon receipt of the issue following the missing one.

Advance payment for subscription orders or payment of proforma invoice required.

Upon payment by Customer(s) to Distributor, Distributor will send a Purchase Order to the Publisher. Upon the reception of the Purchase Order from Distributor, the Publisher will send the Invoice to Distributor subtracting Distributor’s commission (as per clause 2.2). Distributor will pay Publisher within thirty (30) days of the Invoice date by wire transfer to the bank account designated by Publisher. All monies due will be paid in CHF (Swiss Francs) / USD (US Dollar) / EUR (Euro), or otherwise in other currency as mutually agreed by both Parties.

For any Invoice not paid within sixty (60) days, Publisher reserves the right to charge Distributor a finance charge of the lesser of two percent (2%) of the monies owed to Publisher.

Distributor will be solely responsible for the payment of all taxes and any other fees, including without limitation, duties, currency fluctuation costs, insurance fees, sales taxes, tariffs, or value added taxes, due in the country to which the Product(s) are sold. Such taxes and fees will not be deducted from payments due to Publisher by Distributor, and, if applicable, shall be charged by Distributor to the Customer(s), in addition to the Publisher Price of the Product(s) quoted.

Subject to and in accordance with the laws Switzerland. Any dispute arising which the Parties will not be able to resolve amicably, will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Basel, Switzerland.
