Die Bedeutung der chirurgischen Therapie bei nichtepithelialen, primären Magenmalignomen wird in einer retrospektiven Analyse an 27 Fallen untersucht. In 85,2 % der Fälle handelte es sich um Non-Hodgkin-Lymphome, je 2mal lag ein Morbus Hodgkin bzw. ein Leiomyosarkom vor. Die Symptome waren uncharakteristisch und glichen denen beim Ulkusleiden bzw. beim Magenkarzinom. Die Symptom-dauer betrug durchschnittlich 6 Monate. Durch histozytologische Untersuchungen der entnommenen Probebiopsien konnte bereits präoperativ in 75 % der Fälle eine richtig-positive Diagnose gestellt werden. Bei einer postoperativen Letalität von 14,8% betrug die 5-Jahres-Überlebensrate 56,2 % und war damit signifikant besser als die Prognose beim förtgeschrittenen Magenkarzinom.
