In den Jahren 1967 bis 1978 wurden vom Autor 612 Feinnadelpunktionen der Mamma durchgeführt (415 benigne und 197 maligne Fäl-le). Unter den malignen Fallen fanden sich 11 primäre (1 Sarcoma fusocellulare, 1 Sarcoma rotundocellulare, 1 Fibrosarkom, 1 Chondrosarkom, 1 Leiomyosarkom, 1 Angiosarkom, 1 Melanoblastom, 4 Cy-stosarcoma phylloides malignum) und 4 metastatische (1 Sarcoma rotundocellulare, 1 Retothelsarkom, 2 Melanoblastome) mesenchymale Malignome. Die Zytomorphologie, die Histologie sowie die diagnostischen Probleme dieser Malignome werden ausführlich bespro-chen. In der präoperativen Diagnostik der Mammasarkome kommt der Feinnadelpunktion nach Meinung des Autors große Bedeutung zu. Aufgrund seiner jahrelangen Erfahrungen beurteilt er das Verfahren als ungefährlich und empfiehlt deshalb seinen routinemäßigen Ein-satz in der täglichen Praxis.
