Die nachfolgende Arbeit soll einen Überblick über die Reha-Möglichkeiten einschließlich der sozialen Ansprüche für krebskranke Patienten geben. Der Begriff ‘Rehabilitation’ bedeutet hierbei die Wiedereingliederung des Betroffenen in Beruf, Familie und Gesellschaft. Dem Erkrankten stehen eine Fülle von Hilfsmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung, angefangen bei den medizinischen und beruflichen Rehabilitationsmaßnahmen der gesetzlichen Kranken- und Rentenversicherungsträger, der finanziellen Absicherung bis hin zur Hilfestellung bei sozialer Wiedereingliederung. Als Sozialarbeiterin arbeite ich mit den an der onkologischen Rehabilitation beteiligten Stellen zusammen, um zu informieren, zu koordinieren und zu beraten. Hierbei ist es wichtig, dem Patienten Hilfestellung und Ansprechpartner für seine Belange zu benennen.
