The Microbiota and Gut-Brain Connection in Neuroinflammation Article Collection brings you a selection of the latest and leading research on the mechanisms and consequences of microbiome-gut-brain axis signaling on neuroinflammation, with implications for stress-related psychiatric disorders, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and trauma- and stressor related disorder (e.g. posttraumatic stress disorder, PTSD) in which neuroinflammation is considered a risk factor, as well as neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s.
