In the article “Correlation between Protective Immunity to α-Synuclein Aggregates, Oxidative Stress and Inflammation” [Neuroimmunomodulation 2012;19(6):334–342. https://doi.org/10.1159/000341400] by Gruden et al., the average age of the patients in Table 1 was incorrectly reported as 60.8 ± 2.0 and should be correctly reported as 62.3 ± 2.0 years. The corrected Table 1 is shown below.
Additionally, the authors wish to declare that the data contained in Figure 1 was originally published by the group (Gruden et al., Immunoprotection against toxic biomarkers is retained during Parkinson’s disease progression. J Neuroimmunol 2011;233:221–227). The underlying patient group in both articles was the same and, therefore, the atomic force microscopy (AFM) images of the α-synuclein oligomers were used in two publications so that readers could visualise precisely what authors were working with.
