In the article “GPER Agonist G1 Attenuates Neuroinflammation and Dopaminergic Neurodegeneration in Parkinson Disease” [Neuroimmunomodulation. 2017;24(1):60–6, DOI: 10.1159/000478908] by Guan et al., incorrect representative images were included in Figure 1 and Figure 2 for the MPTP+G1 groups. The following information was provided by the authors themselves.

In Figure 1, an incorrect representative image for the MPTP+G1 group was used as a result of the authors’ use of a template figure during figure preparation. The image was subsequently published in Zhou et al.: “Kir6.2 Deficiency Promotes Mesencephalic Neural Precursor Cell Differentiation via Regulating miR-133b/GDNF in a Parkinson’s Disease Mouse Model” [Mol Neurobiol. 2018;55:8550–62, DOI: https://doi.org/10.1007/s12035-018-1005-0]. The authors noticed this error and contacted the journal to make this correction.

In Figure 2, the representative image for the Saline group was erroneously duplicated as the representative image for the MPTP+G1 group. The authors noticed this error and contacted the journal to correct this Figure with the appropriate representative image for the MPTP+G1 group.

The corrected Figure 1 and Figure 2 are shown here.

Fig. 1.

Effects of pretreatment with G1 on the MPTP-induced loss of dopaminergic neurons in the SNc. a Immunohistochemical staining with anti-TH antibody was done in 30-μm-thick coronal sections of midbrain. Scale bar, 200 μm. b Nonbiased stereological analysis of TH-immunoreactive (TH-ir) cells in the SNc. ** p< 0.01 vs. saline-treated groups; ## p< 0.01 vs. MPTP-treated groups; $$ p< 0.01 vs. MPTP plus G1-treated groups. Data represent mean ± SEM of 6 animals in each group. SNc, substantia nigra pars compacta.
