It is with great sadness that we inform the Journal of Vascular Research community of the passing of Eva Aralikatti on May 19, 2024. Many of you would know Eva through her role as Editorial Administrator of the Journal of Vascular Research, a position she held for over 20 years.
Eva is remembered by the journal Editors for her quick wit, sense of humor, focus, and steadfast dedication to the journal. She was always protective of the Journal of Vascular Research and its authors, providing feedback and ensuring that all components of submitted manuscripts were included and at their best. Outside of her work with the journal, Eva was an accomplished and renowned woodworker, making custom-made flute components using a precision lathe and hand-carving.
Karger and the current and former Editors of the Journal of Vascular Research are very thankful for all the work Eva did for the journal and its community over the years. Undoubtedly, the Journal of Vascular Research would not be where it is today had it not been for Eva. Eva will truly be missed. Our condolences go out to Eva’s family, friends, colleagues, and the Journal of Vascular Research community.
