Ziel der Arbeit war es, die anatomisch-funktionellen Ergebnisse der im Zeitraum 1974-1981 an der Universitätsfrauenklinik in Verona durchgeführten hysteroplastischen Eingriffe nach 10 Jahren zu beobachten. Die Erfahrungen beziehen sich auf 46 operierte Patientinnen: 4 litten an Uterus septus, 38 an Uterus bicornis (31 unicollis und 7 bicollis) und 4 an Uterus didelphys. 32 Patientinnen wurden nach Strassman operiert, 13 nach Bret-Palmer und 1 nach Jones. Es wurden 26 sehr gute, 22 zufriedenstellende, 8 mittelmässige und keine negativen Ergebnisse erreicht. 38 Patientinnen haben später zumindest ein Kind geboren. In 4 Fallen waren die Missbildungen der Gebärmutter mit Sterilität assoziiert; diese wurde aber durch andere Ursachen, wie Endometriose oder pelvine Entzündungen, bedingt und stellt deswegen keine primäre Indikation zu Hysteroplastik dar. Die besten Ergebnisse wurden in Fallen von Uterus septus oder Uterus bicornis erzielt.
