Sur la base d’une revue de la littérature, un bilan comparatif des avantages et des inconvénients respectifs de l’endométrectomie par laser Nd-Yag et par résecteur ne fait apparaître aucun element décisif donnant la preference à l’une ou l’autre de ces techniques, en ce qui concerne l’efficacité, le risque et la sécurité d’utilisation. Par contre, en terme de coûts, il n’y a aucun doute que la preference va au résecteur, qui a en outre l’avantage de permettre une evaluation histologique et de pouvoir être utilise malgré les saignements, c’est-à-dire en urgence. L’importance d’un apprentissage spécifique et rigoureux de l’hystéroscopie, d’abord diagnostique, puis interventionnelle, est déterminante pour diminuer les risques de complications.
