History

Founded 1957 by F. Verzár as Gerontologia, merged 1975 with Gerontologia Clinica, founded 1959 by E. Woodford-Williams and A.N. Exton-Smith. Continued by F. Bourlière (1971-1983), H.P. von Hahn (1984-1990), M. Ermini (1991-1994), W. Meier-Ruge (1995-2007), G. Wick (2008-2019)

Vol. 1-21 (1957-1975) were published under the journal's former title Gerontologia. Also available: Vol. 1-17 (1959-1975) of Gerontologia Clinica, which merged with Gerontologia to form Gerontology.
