In the article “Acute Paralytic Post-Bariatric Surgery Axonal Polyneuropathy: Clinical Features and Outcome” [Eur Neurol. 2019;81:239–45. DOI: 10.1159/000503286] by AlShareef et al., a line in the abstract (“The percent of patients who were able to ambulate independently at 6 months were 16% with IVIg versus 66.7% without IVIg”) should read: “The percent of patients who were able to ambulate independently at 6 months were 33.3% with IVIg versus 66.7% without IVIg.” Also, a sentence in the Results section [“The use of IVIg was not associated with increased chance to walk independently (16% with IVIg vs. 66.7% without IVIg, p = 0.242)”] should read: “The use of IVIg was not associated with increased chance to walk independently at 6 months (33.3% with IVIg vs. 66.7% without IVIg, p = 0.567).” Also, in Table 3, the percentage who received intravenous immunoglobulin in the “walk independently at 6 months” group should read 33.3% instead of 16.67%, with a p value of 0.567 instead of 0.242. Furthermore, the female (n) in the “walk with assistance at 6 months” group should read 4 instead of 6. Finally, the percentage of patients who received IVIg in the whole cohort in Table 1 should read 46.2% instead of 41.67%.
