In the article entitled “A Comparison of Adult and Juvenile Behçet Patients and a Look at Clinical Trends: Retrospective Data from a Turkish Follow-Up Cohort Study” [Dermatology. 2023;239:958–65; DOI: 10.1159/000534316] by Boyvat et al., the authors ask for the additional crucial information regarding the gender distribution of the juvenile Behçet’s disease patients included in the study to be added so that the readers have the complete and accurate information.
The following sentence should be added to the results section on page 960 in the paragraph “Comparison of the Demographics and Clinical Manifestations of Juvenile and Adult Behçet Patients”, after the sentence “One hundred and one of these 285 juvenile-onset patients met the ICBD criteria before the age of 16 and were classified as patients with juvenile BD”:
“Out of the 101 juvenile patients with Behçet’s disease, 70 patients were female and 31 patients were male.”
