The article “Replication Protein A 3 Is Associated with Hepatocellular Carcinoma Tumorigenesis and Poor Patient Survival” [Dig Dis. 2018;36(1):26–32, https://doi.org/10.1159/000478977] by Wenbo Xiao, Jun Zheng, Baoyong Zhou, and Long Pan has been retracted by the Publisher and the Editor on behalf of the authors.

After the publication of this article, concerns were raised about the integrity of some of the data presented. Specifically, Figure 1c in the image representing “Nsi” of this article was found to be a duplicate of Figure 6B of the image representing “A549” of a previously published article by different authors [1].

When asked to comment on the above concerns, the first author requested retraction of the article due to their inability to find the original data for this article as the hardware facilities of their laboratory have changed, as well as the posts and units of the researchers. As the concerns raised about the figures cannot be addressed, the article has been retracted.
