In the article “A Case of Post-Endobronchial Ultrasound Polymicrobial Pericarditis and Mediastinitis in Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinomas” [Case Rep Oncol. 2025;18:456–61; DOI: 10.1159/000544053] by Sekowski and Hanna, the fourth sentence in the last paragraph on p. 457 was wrongly given and should read as follows:
Upon arrival at the emergency department, she was hypotensive but not in respiratory distress and on room air.
Moreover, the last sentence in the penultimate paragraph on p. 458 had been incorrectly given. It should read as follows:
A limitation of this case report is that post-EBUS mediastinitis and pericarditis are rare complications, with existing knowledge primarily derived from a few case reports.
