Von Januar 1986 bis Juli 1991 sind an unserer kinderchirurgischen Klinik 28 Kinder (21 Knaben und 7 Mädchen) wegen Milzläsion hospitalisiert und behandelt worden. Das Durchschnittsalter betrug 8,8 Jahre (3-15). Bei 23 Patienten wurde die Diagnose mittels Ultraschall gestellt, bei 2 mittels Computertomographie und bei 3 mittels isolierter Peritoneallavage. 17 Kinder sind konservativ behandelt worden und 11 operativ. Von der letzten Gruppe erhielten 7 eine Teilresektion, 1 wurde mit Vicrylnetz übernäht und 3 erhielten eine Splenektomie. Die operativ und konservativ behandelten Gruppen wurden in zweierlei Hinsicht miteinander verglichen: erstens Aufwand anläßlich der Hospitalisation und zweitens Verläufe bis zur Heilung.
