Book Details
Karger published this authorized German translation of "Railway Injuries: with special reference to those of the back and nervous system, in their medico-legal and clinical aspects" within a year of its release in English. The book was current, highly topical and, unfortunately, much needed: for the years 1885-1890 alone a good 25 major incidents involving trains were recorded, which left roughly 400 people dead and 900 or more injured. (A Karger "Publishing Highlights 1890–2015" title)
