The stato-acoustic nuclear complex and nucleus cerebelli of the frog were analyzed by use of modifications of the Golgi-Cox and Golgi-Kopsch staining techniques. Many vestibular nucleus neurons were observed to have dendrites projecting to regions outside the area which receives primary VIIIth nerve endings. Neurons of the acoustic nucleus possessed dendrites with a longitudinal orientation as compared to the transverse orientation of the ventral vestibular neurons. Nucleus cerebelli cells were found to be mainly bipolar in dendritic configuration and many of their number were found scattered throughout the granular cell layer medial to the large aggregation usually designated as the nucleus cerebelli. Golgi cells were found in the granular layer with dendrites extending up into the molecular layer.
