Abstract
Spontaneous complete remission of 2 months’ duration was observed in a 34-year-old man with acute myeloid (monocytic) leukaemia. In vitro culture of granulocyte-monocyte colony-forming units showed normal growth during remission but in relapse the growth pattern was grossly abnormal and typical of acute myeloid leukaemia.
